Mt Pinatobo Philipine 18 July 2008

4 of the Mount trekker members went to Philipine to climb Mt. Pinatobo at Capas on 17 Aug 2008. left Brunei to Sabah @0600hrs via Kuala Lurah by car and arrived Sabah airport @1130hrs. From Sabah Domestic Airport left at 1430hrs to Disdado Magapagal International Airport Philipine with package tour, the team members flew by Air Asia and arrived 1630hrs and stayed at the Swiss Chalet at Angeles City.

On the 18th Aug 2008 using a car from the hotel to Capas. Arriving at Capas had to register and hire a 4 whell drive, one guide and two withness (guide and withness is complusory). At 0800hrs, started driving from the registeration place and it took an hour to reach the end of the car trail. From here started walking uphill where it took 2 hrs to reach to the peak. The trail going to the peak is using where the lave had been flown during the volcano erruption. Reached at the peak at 1200hrs and spent only 30min at the peak, due to bad weather came. information that been told when bad weathers (rain) occurs the lake in the mountain would overflow and all the trail would be covered by downpour of water from the lake.

At 1230hrs started decline and reached to the starting point, where the fourwheel is still waiting. At 1430hrs reached at registeration center and had shower and lunch which was provided as package tour. At 1730hrs all head back and reached at the hotel at 1830hrs.

Team member spent the whole day at the hotel due to tiredness after a whole day climbing the mountain and went back to Sabah on the nextday 20th August. As soon landed in Sabah all head back home to Brunei by land.
